The special prize from Estonian Fund for Nature went to a nature film that offers a close-up look at the underwater world of the west coast of Sweden and highlights the problems our Baltic Sea is facing. Eutrophication, vast dead zones, overfishing, climate change, pollution, and marine litter — filmmaker Tobias Dahlin has crafted a deeply moving story of marine life through a sensitive cinematic language and rare footage. The limited visibility of the sea has not hindered the creation of a poetic and topical film that is also profoundly educational. The close-up shots in the film leave the impression that an entire world — the sea — can indeed exist within a single drop of water.
