Türkiye is home to some of the richest wildlife in Europe. Among this diversity lives a relatively unknown bird of prey: the long-eared owl. These owls not only live in the wild; they also thrive in villages and even in cities, right alongside people. In some beliefs they are considered bad luck. But for some people who share the same environment with them, things are quite different. In the heart of Anatolia, there are stories that show humans and wildlife can coexist without conflict. “Days of the Owl” witnesses this shared life, telling the story of long-eared owls through the eyes of their closest neighbours.
