Since the last Ice Age, the Arctic foxes of the Scandinavian Peninsula have become genetically distinct. Due to severe hunting activities, their numbers dwindled from tens of thousands, to less than a hundred animals in the early 2000s. Even today they struggle to survive as their Arctic habitat changes and disappears. The Journey of the Blue Fox is the heartwarming story of young Arctic fox vixen, as she makes her way across the Scandinavian mountain chain to find a territory of her own – one that will feed her and her future family.
