One Minute of Nature on Film

In this workshop, we explore nature through the camera lens and experiment with capturing our surroundings using moving images. We will work in small groups and use the participants' own phones for filming—no prior filmmaking experience is required. We will experiment with simple shots and sounds, discovering the stories hidden in our immediate environment. Each group can work at its own pace and choose what and how to film. If desired, we can watch the finished films together at the end of the workshop. If you do not already have a video editing app on your phone, please download the free "VN Video Editor" before the workshop if possible. If you are unable to do so, don't worry—we will find a solution on-site.
The practical part of the workshop takes place outdoors; please dress according to the weather and wear comfortable shoes.
The workshop is led by filmmaker and film lecturer Elen Lotman.
