The Bloodless Hunt was held in 2025 from May 16–18 on the island of Vormsi. 43 photo hunters took part. This year marked the 28th time the photo hunt has been held.
The Bloodless Hunt resembles a real hunt, but the weapons are cameras, the ammunition is memory cards, and the quarry is a large number of animal and nature photographs. There isn't a single gunshot — only quiet camera clicks are heard, or the hunt proceeds in complete silence.
With cameras in hand, participants stalk and lie in wait for their prey from early dawn until late evening. Anything can be hunted, anywhere – in the water, in the air, and on land. The goal is to portray the landscapes of the region and its inhabitants through photographs.
