How well do you know the trees and shrubs that grow in the Estonian wild? Come to a hands-on workshop where you can put your knowledge to the test and learn to identify species by their leaves, shoots, and bark.
In the workshop, we will examine 30 species of deciduous trees and shrubs native to Estonia. Dried leaves, laminated study materials, and name tags will be waiting for you. We will also bring fresh shoots gathered from the wild for each species, allowing you to see exactly what the tree or shrub looks like at this time of year.
By the end of the workshop, you will be better at recognizing Estonia’s most common trees and shrubs and will know which characteristics to look for when identifying them in nature.
