Must the forest be protected at all costs? Is a new forest as valuable as an old one? And who should have the right to decide the forest's fate?
"Forest at a Crossroads" is a debate arena for high school students where a nature film sparks the discussion, but no ready-made answers are provided.
We will look at the forest from various perspectives, take a stand, seek out arguments, and try to defend them. In the debate arena, you will have the chance to put your opinion to the test, listen to different viewpoints, and discover whether an argument might even lead you to change your own position.
You don’t need to be an experienced debater or a forestry expert here. All that’s required is curiosity, a willingness to engage with the topic, and the courage to share your thoughts.
Come and put your opinion to the test—because a forest can have more than one story.
