Do you know what is used to measure wind speed or what clouds can predict about the weather?
Come and discover the fascinating world of weather through hands-on activities, observations, and movement!
"Weather Detectives in Lihula" is an active learning program where students investigate the weather and meteorological phenomena, learning to recognize their connections to the surrounding environment. During the program, participants observe clouds and the wind, perform simple weather measurements, and explore the traces of weather visible in nature.
Through practical and playful activities, students gain new knowledge about the weather while developing their powers of observation, reasoning skills, and ability to collaborate.
The program offers two difficulty levels: one for grades 6–7 and another for grades 8–9.
The workshop is conducted by students from the University of Tartu Viljandi Culture Academy.
