Trees and people

24.09.2025
09:00 - 12:45
Lihula manor park

Trees and people have been strongly connected for millennia. Our ancestors' tools, food containers, dwellings and other necessities of life were mostly made of wood or obtained from the forest - each tree species was assigned a purpose according to its properties. And tree species were known from early childhood.

In this workshop you can guess the tree species of our homeland and find out what our ancestors used one or another tree species for. The workshop will take place outdoors - please dress according to the weather and choose comfortable shoes.

Target group: 1st-9th grade
