Valeri has been roaming nature with his camera for over 25 years, but this is his first public appearance where he presents his photographs and shares stories of his most exciting encounters in Estonia’s wilderness. His favorite theme is portraits, which is why he focuses primarily on making sure the subject appears clearly, prominently, and recognizably in the frame. Valeri will also speak about himself – his journey into nature photography, photographing from hides, and how he came to it. He will introduce Estonia’s large carnivores, explain their relationships with one another, and share his broader observations about nature. He will also talk about camera traps, which have provided him with a wealth of fascinating information. There will also be a behind-the-scenes look at the new film “Kriimsilm, Karuott ja Rebane.” To keep the event from becoming a monologue, Valeri invites the audience to ask questions and join the discussion.
